As the Research Director of Deloitte UK's Centre for Health Solutions since December 2011, I seek to ensure that the Centre is a trusted source of relevant, timely, and reliable insights on emerging trends, challenges and opportunities across the life sciences and health care sectors. We combine creative thinking, robust research evidence and our industry experience to develop fresh perspectives on some of the biggest and most challenging industry issues. At a pivotal and challenging time for the industry, we use our research to encourage collaboration across the health value chain, connecting the public and private sectors; health providers, purchasers and suppliers; patients and healthcare consumers. Our most recent reports include: Closing the digital gap: Shaping the future of UK healthcare; Time to care: Securing a sustainable future for the hospital workforce in Europe; The future of life sciences regulation; and Medtech and the Internet of Medical Things. All of our reports focus on the role of new and advanced, technologies in transforming the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery and patient's and staff's experience of care. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and a Non-Executive Director at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. I have extensive experience in value for money and performance audit with a proven track record of delivering hard hitting national reports that led to significant and sustainable improvements in service delivery; including being awarded an OBE in the 2001 New Years Honours List for my work on health VFM audit.
